Rules & Guidelines

Our General Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking any trek or trip with Karnataka Trekkers. By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these policies.

  1. Minimum Participants A minimum of 10–12 participants is required to organize any trek or trip.
  2. Alternative & Reschedule If minimum bookings are not met or permits are unavailable, an alternative trek or reschedule will be offered.
  3. Rescheduling Requests Rescheduling requests must be made at least 5 days before and within 30 days of the original date.
  4. Itinerary Changes Itinerary, activities, and pickup/drop timings are subject to change due to weather, traffic, permits, or government restrictions.
  5. Basic Accommodation Facilities and accommodation are basic (tents, sleeping bags, dorms, or open sky depending on the specific location).
  6. Fitness Requirements Average fitness level is required; organizers are not responsible if participants cannot complete the trek.
  7. Personal Valuables Karnataka Trekkers is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, valuables, cash, jewellery, or gadgets.
  8. Vegetarian Food Vegetarian food only is provided, which is basic and hygienic.
  9. Conduct & Misbehaviour Consumption of alcohol, smoking, misbehaviour, or causing delays will lead to immediate termination of the trip without refund.
  10. Cleanliness Participants must maintain cleanliness; littering is strictly prohibited and fineable.
  11. Organiser Cancellation In case of organiser cancellation, refunds (if applicable) will be processed in 2–3 working days.
  12. Tickets & Permits Tickets (Trek Permit / Forest Entry Fee) once booked are non-refundable and non-transferable (subject to third-party policies).
  13. Punctuality Arrive at the pickup point at least 20 minutes early; transport to the pickup point is the participant’s responsibility.
  14. Management Rights Management’s decision is final; rights of admission are reserved.
  15. Booking Responsibility Booking without reading the itinerary and T&C is solely the customer’s responsibility.
